Acupunture

Acupuncture involves inserting tiny needles into a patient's skin at specific depths. The acupuncturist will take detailed history to understand the symptoms and recommend treatment to assist in decreasing those symptoms. The needles are frequently painless and are inserted into specific areas to provide relief. Acupuncture originated thousands of years ago in China, but has grown significantly and become an integrated part of many treatment plans in the United States in the past few decades. Many medical studies indicate that acupuncture can provide medical benefits, from pain relief to helping with chemotherapy induced nausea.

Treatment Session - $75
We are not able to bill your acupuncture through the insurance, but can give you a receipt which can be submitted to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Our Acupuncturist

Dr. Robert C. Breen is a firm believer in the effectiveness of acupuncture. "Most patients present for acupuncture after failing to respond to conventional Medical treatment or as an alternative to long-term medication usage for chronic conditions," noted Dr. Breen.

"Patients are often delighted with the relief of their symptoms, when pharmaceutical medications were either ineffective or produced undesirable side effects. Conditions such as painful arthritis, insomnia and depression are frequently alleviated or reduced within several treatments."

Dr. Breen is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine to practice both chiropractic medicine and acupuncture.
