Chiropractic Staff

Dr. Holly Moriarty, D.C. - Haymarket Physical Therapy & Chiropractic Holly D. Moriarty, D.C.
Dr. Holly Moriarty, who grew up in Newport, Rhode Island, graduated with honors in 1994 from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Prior to enrolling in chiropractor school in 1999, she spent five years in the technology industry. Dr. Moriarty graduated cum laude from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. She has earned specialty certifications as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP) and holds Certification in Kinesiology Therapeutic Taping, and Graston Technique.

ART, Active Release TechniquesDr. Moriarty is also certified in ART (Active Release Techniques), a state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow have all been treated successfully using this technique. ART is often used to treat top athletes around the country.

As an avid golfer, equestrian, and softball player, Dr. Moriarty has a special interest in sports medicine and understands the need for patients to heal quickly without compromising the integrity of their bodies. This specialty in sports has lead her to successfully treat many of the professional athletes in our area. Recently, Dr. Moriarty was selected as a Top Chiropractic Expert in Sports Medicine by her peers in the January 2010 issue of Washingtonian Magazine. In June 2010, she will be traveling to Colorado Springs, CO at the invitation of the United States Olympic Committee to work with athletes at the Olympic training center. 

Dr. Moriarty has lectured in a variety of venues and can speak on topics that include injury prevention, muscle strengthening, modern rehabilitation techniques for athletes, low-back pain, and nutrition.


Joshua Cole, D.C.Dr. Joshua Cole, D.C. - Haymarket Physical Therapy & Chiropractic
Dr. Joshua Cole, who grew up in King George, Virginia, graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, then a Doctorate in Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College.

Dr. Cole has trained in various soft tissue techniques such as Myofascial Release, Nimmo and Trigger point therapy, which target problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are all conditions he has treated using these techniques.

As an experienced soccer player and sports enthusiast, Dr. Cole has a special interest in sports medicine and understands the need for patients to heal quickly, without compromising the integrity of their bodies. He has had the opportunity to work with an extensive number of athletes at various athletic events.

He has also had the privilege of training students at the Rochester Veterans Administration in Rochester, New York. While there, he worked with many of our nation’s finest veterans. He focused on minimizing their pain and facilitating recovery from their war and training injuries. He has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience treating conditions within this population.

Physical Therapy Staff


Rana Parvizian, DPT Rana Parvizian, DPT - Haymarket Physical Therapy & Chiropractic
Dr. Rana Parvizian, who grew up in Potomac, Maryland, graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, then a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami.

After graduating, Rana got the opportunity to tour with the musical show, Wicked. She was the physical therapist to the actors and dancers on the show. From this, she gained a love for helping and rehabilitating athletes. Her passion for running inspired the cast on the show to join her in running races all around the states, totaling 24 races.

Rana's passion has always been in sports since a young age. She took on lacrosse in high school as the captain, and continued to play on the club team at the University of Maryland. Rana is also trained in Polestar Pilates. Her desire to stay active, gives her the passion to help other athletes return to sports.




Sweety Shah, MSPT Sweety Shah, MSPT - Haymarket Physical Therapy & Chiropractic
Sweety Shah was born and raised in Mumbai, India. She graduated in 1998 from Mumbai University securing her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy. After moving to the United States in 1999, she began studying for her Physical Therapist license and volunteering at Prince William County Hospital's Physical Therapy Center as an assistant. Sweety received her Physical Therapist license in 2001 and began working at Healthsouth treating a wide variety of orthopedic issues, sports related injuries, and post surgical cases.

Sweety joined the Haymarket Physical Therapy & Chiropractic staff in 2008, and continues to take continuing education courses in the areas of shoulder injuries, back injuries, core strengthening, sports injuries and other orthopedic conditions.








Massage Therapy Staff

Rashad Davis, Massage TherapistRashad Davis, Massage Therapyist - Haymarket Physical Therapy & Chiropractic
Rashad Davis always aspired to enter the sports medicine field. At Potomac High School, he became interested in athletic training after sustaining an injury playing sports. He attended Virginia State University, earning his bachelors of science in Pre-Med. Rashad graduated from massage therapy school in 2008.

Rashad is focused on helping Dr. Moriarty’s patients and his massage clients by incorporating sports massage techniques with traditional massage. He specializes in deep tissue and relaxation massages and plans to enter graduate school for Physical Therapy in the future.









Colleen Thomas, Massage TherapistColleen Thomas - Massage Therapist - Haymarket Physical Therapy & Chiropractic
Colleen started with massage therapy as a way to work more closely with patients and to enhance the quality of people's lives and health. She graduated from National Massage Therapy Institute and received her National Certification in Massage Therapy. She specializes in relaxation massage, and has a great interest in prenatal massage. Colleen is currently taking continuing education courses to further her ability and expertise in the massage industry. She also works with Dr. Moriarty as a chiropractic assistant.
